From one DJ to a national team
Kiwi DJs started in 2004 with Paul Marr, a crate of records and a simple standard: turn up early, read the actual room, take the requests. Twenty one years later the standard has not changed, and the team built around it now plays from Northland to Central Otago.
Paul still leads the company and still plays, splitting his year between Auckland and Queenstown, with international bookings that have taken Kiwi DJs to Australia, Cyprus, Japan, the UK and the USA. Around him sits a roster of professional DJs based in Auckland, Queenstown, Wellington and Tauranga, each profiled on the team page.
The record built along the way is the company’s proudest asset: more than 700 reviews across Google, the website and socials, corporate clients including ASB, Deloitte, Pfizer and Toyota events, and wedding venues from Mudbrick to The Winehouse captured on video at real bookings.
What has never changed
Every booking still gets the 2004 standard: an experienced DJ from our own team, sound sized to the venue, lighting, wireless microphones for speeches, setup finished before guests arrive, and friendly DJs who take requests on the fly.
